Personal Narrative: My Experiences Of Bickering For A Health Career

“Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all, the love of what you are doing.” - Pele. The lessons I have learned from my experiences in preparing for a health career is to be patient in everything you do. Rushing to get things done will not help you get done faster. Rushing can actually cause you to spend more time on what you doing if you messed it up something up along the way. The best way thing to is to work at a slow and steady pace to make sure everything is done properly the first time.
Another lesson is that not everyone is going to be your friend and you have to make peace with that. The best thing to is try and get along with the person for the patient or the jobs sake. Bickering

In the Human Services field I am very passionate about working with people in the deaf culture. I am passionate about working with this population because I know American Sign Language and I feel a connection to the community. Learning ASL took a long time and allowed me to be engaged in many events in the deaf community. I believe people in this population are not given nearly as much attention or opportunities as they should be. The lack of equal access to education, jobs, and basic interactions that hearing people take for granted is not fair and puts this population at a disadvantage therefore making it important for people to want to work with this group of people.…

I learned from Eric that health care does not necessarily have to be your passion for you to be good at it, and this goes for any field you want to go into, but our career does not have to be something that you learn to do or that you learn to be good at. Your career should be something that you are passionate about, and you should be able to answer yes to two very important questions; if you had to do what you did yesterday, today and tomorrow for free, would you? And would you be ale to say that you enjoy doing it, yesterday, today, tomorrow and 10 years from now? So I take away from this experience a new understanding of what m future looks like as well as the understanding that I can enjoy what I do, what I want to do and there is a natural progression of how and when I will get…

I have always been excited to become a nurse since I decided that this will be my major, and on that Wednesday I was able to experience this first hand. At my mother’s work, Behavioral Healthcare Partners, I was lucky enough to be sent to work in their medical office. Not only did I have an unbelieveable mixture of nerves and excitement during this experience, but I also learned a lot my first, second, and third day here working in the medical department. I felt my heart racing as I entered the medical building at Behavioral Healthcare Partners as I was about to see what the rest of my life may be centered around.…
