My experience Throughout my childhood years I have had many different career choices. Around the age of seven for the first time I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said I wanted to be a cowgirl and work and live on a farm. A year later with more thought into careers I decided to be a counselor. Then I had chosen that career because I looked up to my school counselor, Mrs. Parrish. She helped in tough times and helped me deal with my emotions. I wanted to help children with their emotions; be that person that would help them know how to deal with life. Later on around fifth grade I once again changed my career choice; and looked more into the fashion world. I wanted to become a fashion designer; I really liked dressing up and …show more content…
During the first session at first I did not know how to interact with the children; but I decided to approach a little girl who seemed to have difficulties completing a puzzle. I helped her complete the puzzle; by asking her where did she think each piece went. When the second session came I kind hate to admit it, but I was exhausted. I tired keeping up with the children; I was successful in some way. Although I did not interact as much physically with the children. Not for the great salary, but for the priceless smiles of children they have; when they feel healthy and most importantly happy. I would have not changed anything and especially do not regret going. All those children reminded me why I should continue with my

As a child growing up in Rhode Island, the smallest state in the Union, the idea of a vast planet brimming with civilization and culture was more like something out of a fairy tale than it was reality. So, when my father announced that we would be leaving the country to go to Scotland, the home of his and my ancestors, my world began to expand at a rapid pace. This trip could not have been timed more perfectly. The summer of 2007 marked the end of fourth grade, my first year at Saint Mary Academy Bay View.…

A Thousand Experiences Throughout life, individuals face different obstacles and struggles; my obstacle was my tendency to be shy. For example, when I was faced with social pressures like speaking in front of a class for a presentation, or meeting new people, I would be a nervous wreck. My palms would sweat, my voice would tremble, and it took all the strength I could muster to overcome my irrational fears. I only had a small, albeit close knit group of friends due to my introverted ways.…

Another hot summer in Idaho at another family reunion. I chased after my dad and brother’s cloud of dust; reving my ATV’s (all terrain vehicle) engine I whipped around the land my great great uncle homesteaded on. My confidence grew as did my speed until my wheel caught and spun me right into a log that pierced through the fender and into my leg. It was the first time I ever blacked out. When I came too a few seconds later I was alone; high on the trails of the Sawtooth mountains, blood gushing from my shin.…

Jackie Robinson once said “I’m not concerned with your liking or disliking me… all I ask is that you respect me as a human being.” This was my motto as i moved to the USA from Egypt at the age of six years old. Almost two years ago now, we met again for the second time in our lives. You found me (a teenager) which like many others before been neglected as a kid. Walked around with the belief that I'd never know what it felt like to be loved, so I closed off my heart and made it impenetrable. Believing that if I stayed emotionless I could endure and survive any loss or pain, manipulation. You were warmth and compassion.…

My Psychological Experience When I decided to go back to school, I had no plans of perusing a psychology degree, I just left a large tech company and gained some experience analyzing, creating, and manipulating data. I found myself enjoying the work a great deal, but knew if I was going to do that kind of work as a career I needed to go to school to do so. My initial plan was to get a degree in data base administration when I started at Bellevue collage in Bellevue Washington, but as I worked through the course work I found I had little interest in the material and felt very much out of place amongst my fellow students. Interestingly, while I was taking the technical classes, I took an intro to psychology course to fill an elective and…
