Diabetes is a silent deadly disease that works around the clock to destruct the body of many Americans today. At the age of 14, I was diagnosed with Type two Diabetes. I was never the A student but I knew how to try. My grades ranged from C average and lower. My biggest struggle was trying to keep up when I fell behind. Being Diabetic meant that I was more likely to get sick at any moment. This was one of the many reasons of why I fell behind. My dreams were to be on top, but with the lack of motivation and help, there was no foundation. I couldn't school, school. I had to go over that speed bump and that’s exactly what God had set out for me to do. My junior year of high school I had decided that enough was enough. I wanted a change I wanted to be more than just a student who got by I wanted to be a hard working student who earned every grade given to her. So I decided hey, take an AP class why not prove yourself. The first semester was wonderful, I stayed motivated and committed. Suddenly as the second semester approached my health got into the way of my grades, and that positive motivation was gone. I had finally succeeded and one day took part in the contribution of why I gave up. Nothing ever seemed to go right so I stopped. But I wasn’t finished I wanted to know what life held for me on wants I got to pass this speed
