During my elementary school years, I demonstrated difficulties in learning and was retained in fourth grade. During my second year as a fourth grader, I qualified in special education and was placed in a Resource Specialist Program. While attending Solano Community College, I had difficulties in coping with my injury and learning how I would be able to pass my classes, because I wasn’t doing that well my third and fourth year. So I decided to sit down and talk to my rehabilitation counselor to learn about what type of assistance I was able to receive while attending college. So, I didn’t learn that I was able to receive extra time while taking tests until later on in my attending Solano Community College. After I finally finished my general education at Solano Community College. I applied to further my education and pursue my bachelors’ degree at San Jose State
