When I first got involved with Hispanic Heritage Committee, I noticed that I was embarrassed by my background, my culture, and who I was in general. This was the first time I was consciously aware of my own view on my self-image. My experience and involvement in this organization made me realize that there was nothing wrong with my heritage. My self-image completely changed. I became confident in who I was as a person and I want this club to continue inspiring other students the same way it inspired me. The Hispanic heritage Club Just started this year, and I got the honor to be a leader in this organization. Seeing students who were distancing themselves from their own heritage is what inspired me to continue my desire for sharing the Latino
