Personal Narrative: My Experience With Detective Turner Today

Monday: today is my first day back up stairs with investigations. I was going to ride with Detective Turner today but she had a new police officer riding with her today. I went to ask SGT. Smith who she would like for me to ride with today, and she asked who all have I ridden with, and I told her I have been with every unit except for gang and narcotics unit but I believed I am not allowed to ride with them. SGT. Smith found someone for me to ride with. Detective Dutton, did not have a lot going on toady. We would go to the jail to interview a suspect to see if he would confess to the crime he had committed. The guy had broken into a car a stole someone’s wallet and then would use it to make multiple transactions and one, which he paid his rent with. At first he denied everything, but Detective Dutton told him he had messages that he sent to a girl that he had paid rent with the card and the victim also sent a confirmation to the girl that he had paid it. …show more content…
We left the jail with the guy confession but Detective Dutton had to go to the clinic to pick up his prescription. It took a while for him to finish, but after we headed back to the Police Department. He printed out the new cases that he had received today and let me read them. He contacted two out of the three victims and only one of them answered which she claims that there are some kids that are vandalizing her property, but after we finished looking over the cases it was time for me to
