Personal Narrative: My Experience Of Working In A Karate School

I worked at my karate school for a few hours. I will only describe half an hour though.

To start out I ran a few laps around the mat for a warm up. Then, I did two sets of

20 squats holding a 20 pound weight. I then worked on a tricking combo in my form

that I had trouble with. From there I did both my open and weapon forms twice. My

instructor talked to me about a few things I can work on. He taught me a new trick

that I am working

    After attending karate for 11 years, I have taken a weekly position teaching. Though sometimes I teach adults, I usually teach children, and while they have a difficult time focusing for any long period of time, the joy and satisfaction of seeing them succeed and pass tests is wonderful.     The room is best described with one word: Sanctuary.
