Personal Narrative: My Experience Of Traveling To Sacramento

Decent Essays
I had a really exciting childhood in Sacramento; my family loved to travel and see new places but there is no place like home. There was always something to do I do not recall ever having a dull moment. Ordinary school days most of my time was spent outside at the park or playing video games inside with friends. On weekends my mother would travel the Northern Coast weather it be shopping in San Fransisco or visiting Six Flags in Vallejo. My favorite part was getting amazing fresh eats from street vendors; Gult was a super popular farmers market with some of the best street food from all walks of the world. I always say if you ever visit you can never leave with out visiting In N Out burger or Gunther's Ice Cream you miss the experience if you

When my dad was driving to Pensacola I felt nervous doing to much thinking but my dad gave me encouragement saying just do me. My games in Pensacola were bad to me because I didn’t have any points, I think I’m the only one on my team who had zero points the whole weekend. I barely had any playing time even when I did a good job on both ends of the court. Most people say it’s not all about points but it is about points because how can you win with zero points it’s impossible.…

A universal theme for me moving from Texas to California is overcoming. I was 8 years old when my family moved, and had to overcome knowing no one, a new school, and being out of my comfort zone. At this age you tend to start making good friends, all hang out in groups, and be less adventurous. My parents kept saying, “Find people who like the same things as you, and everything else will be easy”. The next week I did just that.…

For this paper I went to Disneyland in Anaheim, California. I went to the park with my dad on November 9th. We came straight from the airport and arrived at around 10am. The entrance to the park was relatively empty, this was probably due to the fact that the front is really large and it only gets noticeably crowded during the morning while guests are waiting for the park to open. Despite being pretty empty at the entrance, there was a line to get through security.…
