No one understands what goes on in a courthouse until they step into one. I enjoyed every aspect of this semester because I was exposed to so much more than the judge/justice making decisions and punishing people for their wrongful doings. From walking into security to being escorted out at the end of the day it was all an amazing experience. I had the opportunity to shadow Clerks, Court Reporters and even a CSO at the Durham Courthouse. I was skeptical about the entire experience because I have only sat in the body of the court and not behind the stand.
