I first attended Appalachian about 15 years ago, entering in the class of 2000. Due to personal and family events, I wasn't able to graduate, so I am getting my second chance now, at both a degree and and the valuable experiences that being involved with the community and networking with others can bring.
The one thing I did learn from my previous collge experience, both at Appalachain and at the community college I currently attend, is how much value comes from the colege experience outside of class - connecting with others who have different life experiences, and learning and doing things together to improve ourselves and the community.
Since I intend to major in Communications/Journalism, I am looking forward to getting involved with student
