Personal Narrative: My Experience At The Charlotte Country Club

My experience at the Charlotte Country Club was amazing. I loved how friendly the staff was when you entered the County Club. The club is a traditional club there is no cellphone use throughout the club and the club has a dress code no jeans, business causal is acceptable. Once we enter the club we were shown the president room where they had refreshments such as: water, soda, coffee, and tea. As we waited for everyone to arrive we were introduce to Amanda Day who is the Assistant Manager of the club and was giving the tour. The club has three levels the top level are where the offices are held, the second level are banquet rooms and the third level is the dining rooms and locker rooms. The tour started in the banquet rooms where wedding, receptions, bridal showers, baby showers, and cotillions are held. Many of the rooms have their original décor and have been refurbished to restore its original look and feel. The ballroom was beautiful it has chandlers imported from Italy that made the room shine. The faculty also has an 18 holes golf course which was beautiful to see. The club also has three dining rooms one for 21 and up member, a more casual dining …show more content…
I would love to return to the club one day as a staff member to experience what working at a Country Club will be like. What I gained during my time at Charlotte Country Club is that working in the hospitality industry varies form hotels and Country Clubs. You do have to work long hours at a Country Club, but its worth is because you become a family with your co-workers and member. You get to know everyone and they get to know you too. Working at a Country Club you working in the happy business because you have a sense of joy will working with others who enjoy their job just as much as you do. Congressional Country Club, Bethesda, Maryland: 8:05 am... “Lockwood,” said Senator Bobby Richards, “you are the only congressman who can miss your tee time by an hour and march right up to the tee and start hacking away.” After resetting his ball by pulling up the tee some, he was happy‒hoping his ball would land where he was looking. “That is about all I do anymore, is hack,” Lockwood replied, with a kid-smile, as he pulled his lucky Boston Celtic golf glove onto his right hand and then tightened the Velcro strap.…

The flight to Panama was long and bumping as I flew aboard a C-141, this aircraft is no longer in service. As I departed the aircraft, I was met by oppressive heat and humidity. As I looked around my new surroundings, I could not help but think that it looked as if someone had laid a giant green carpet over the landscape. It was definitely the most beautiful country that I had seen and, in my opinion it still is. The tarmac was busy with all kinds of activity going on.…

It was springtime during the year of 2012, I was just about to start my summer. I was looking on the internet for sports to do in Kaneland, because I wanted to compete at a higher level. But I was not always comfortable with playing on a travel baseball team, but I knew this could be a great opportunity for me, so I took a risk and after all it, payed off. I asked “Dad would you think I would be able to compete and play on the travel baseball team” He smiled “Yes, but one thing I learned when I was young and playing baseball is; it is a game of mistakes, and the only way you can succeed is if you practice over and over to improve.”…

Most teenagers would probably tell you that the beginning of their adulthood was marked by having to do laundry for the first time, or being able to drive alone, or perhaps no longer sitting at the children's table at family events. But for me, it happened this past summer, when I made the very difficult decision that I would not return to Coleman Country Day Camp. To those who were not fortunate enough to have grown up at summer camp, this might not seem like such a big decision to make. But Coleman was my outlet, my second home for ten consecutive summers and spending those two months anywhere else seemed inconceivable to me.…

The subculture I chose is the FFA which is also known as the future farmer organization. I started in this organization when I was a sophomore in high school. The organization starts in the middle school and goes into high school. My high school isn’t big on FFA, so I had to find out through a mutual friend. When I started in this club I didn’t know what to except so I was shy at first and didn’t volunteer for activates as much as I should have.…

Since my blog title is "The Unstressed," I'd like to suggest one of my favorite places to get, well, unstressed. If you are ever in the United States and happen to travel to Chicago, Illinois, don't forget to check out one of the best golf courses in Chicago--at the Chevy Chase Country Club. This is a true favorite of mine. Not only is the golf course 100 percent pro in every aspect, the green is found in the middle of some of the most picturesque scenery you'll ever find in a golf course setting.…

What do you consider to be your most meaningful contribution to Colleges Against Cancer during the 2015-16 year? I think I consider my participation in Relay for Life event as the most meaningful contribution that I have made to Colleges Against Cancer during the school year. I was not able to attend Tuesday meetings especially on winter quarter because of a job I had that needed me on Tuesday nights. However, this did not hinder me to constantly communicate to my other committee members. When time permitted this spring, I actively participated during Tuesday meetings, some of the flyering weeks, the production for Relay props, and the event itself.…

The experience that I went through and that I would like to share was when I played golf in the beginning of the year. I was fine managing my schedule during the first week or two of school, but then I started getting more and more homework as the weeks went on. I had a hard time keeping up with my school work and playing golf. I practiced every day after school and I didn’t really have any time after school to do my homework. Playing golf took up basically all of my time because I played it 5-7 days a week between practicing with the school team or practicing with my golf instructor/coach.…
