When I first arrived at Sanderson High School I was fundamentally flawed in my approach to academics. I was ignorant of how much importance there was in my level of focus and effort. Although my mind was sharp my will was lacking, I still had the mindset that homework and studying weren't top priorities but more something to do with spare time. I would do poorly and then spend much time reflecting why I didn't get an A in an easy class or at least a B in an honors class. Now my GPA is rising exponentially in comparison to when I first arrived. I'm balancing all A's in rigorous courses and the thought of failure is not an option. However it begs the question, how did I get here? What changed me for the better?
