One thing I have learned at Northview is that I should never stop caring about my grades or turning my homework in. For example, my freshman year went completely downhill when I decided it was okay to put things off and just completely abandon the tasks that I didn’t want to do. I never really thought about the fact that failing a class would affect the rest of the years ahead of me. By the end of the year, I had received F’s in almost every subject including math, physics, world studies, and english. This had completely ruined my summer and of course, I had …show more content…
My first year of Med Tech was very overwhelming at first, but once I started learning the most important things, it became pretty fun and enjoyable. I went on many different college visits, which helped me get an idea of what field I wanted to study, and what schools I could choose from to attend. When I first joined this program, I thought I wanted to be dental hygienist. My sister in law was a dental hygienist and she made really good money doing it. I didn’t know much about any of the other careers, so that one sounded pretty good to me. After I explored Owen’s Community College, I soon found that I probably wasn’t right for that career and it would probably be a pretty tough one to get into. I then looked into what it took to be a dental assistant, which was a little easier, but didn’t seem to be what I wanted
