Yes, at Lowe's Distribution while has a loader. We had a set time of how many items needed to be uploaded on too the assembly belt. Regardless of how tired you were you had a set time of delivery. At Lowe's retail store as a loader, I had to load Refrigerators, washer's, dryer's on to a dolly and help the guest load the item(s) into their vehicle. More often than not I was alone doing this task. While in the Navy, I was a fire fighter for all four years and we constantly ran drills while being fully suited up with firefighting gear and with our oxygen tanks on. This would happen usually two to three times a day for a span of a couple of hours for each drills. When you are deployed you are the fire department so we practiced a lot.

I am an attendant at Chick-fil-a, I don’t think I have any specific title because I am pretty much doing everything, whether it is working with the cash registers or working in the kitchen. My first position though I was working in the kitchen, however after considering it was a high pace restaurant, the first two weeks in the back I felt like it was too much pressure. So I asked to work in the front area of the restaurant, and it was so much less pressure and it became easier to adapt to the environment of Chick-fil-a. After a few months of working at the restaurant I ended up having appendicitis and a bacterial infection, so I was out for a couple months. After having that experience and learned that it was God that saved my life, and reflecting…

From an interview that didn’t go too well, to an interview that helped me grow, my customer service professional informational interview took place at a Company that didn’t hire me a year prior. I was given the opportunity to talk to, as well as learn from, Nate Martinson, a sales coach at Capital One, here in Saint Cloud. I was referred to Nate from Becky Shand, my Strategic Customer Service instructor. Nate was one of her past students. Capital One hadn’t initially crossed my mind as a first choice for this assignment, which is why I’m glad I was able to learn more about the company.…

I shall always remember my first year working at Turkey Hill Ranch. I have always possessed an enduring fondness of the lovely church camp over all the years I’ve spent there as a camper, but I never imagined that its unique nature and pleasant atmosphere would impart such invaluable wisdom. This quiet and seemingly insignificant breadth of woods and field, tucked away amongst the encompassing depths of central Missouri, gave me an abundance of clarity on the exceeding importance of humility, service to others, and a bit of hard work in the composition of effective stewardship. Before becoming a part of the Summer staff at Turkey Hill, I was often impressed at the smooth and continuous operation of the camp week after week, being that it was…

I would visit Applebee’s again for several reasons; it is affordable, causal, and the food is really good. As a college student, the first thing that I consider before eating out is how affordable the place is. Compared to Olive Garden, I would say that this restaurant is a lot less formal, less costly, and a lower food quality. Overall, my experience was fun and enjoying because I felt relaxed sitting, laughing, and eating with my friends. When come back next time, I may try a dessert.…

An internship is normally a work task a student completes after a series of classes to gain a degree in a particular field they think they’ll love, whether they still love it after they’ve completed that journey is based upon a multitude of criteria. Luckily, I have found that I quite enjoy fashion and working in retail throughout this internship at Dress Barn. Occasionally students find that what they thought they were getting into, is actually completely different than what they expected. Especially when reading about a profession on paper versus seeing it up closer in real life. When I started college, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to study or achieve with my life.…

Managing to break free from my mother’s grasp, I charged. With arms flailing and chubby legs fluttering beneath me, I was the ferocious two year old rampaging through Costco on a Saturday morning. My mother’s eyes widened in horror as I jettisoned my churro; the cinnamonsugar rocket gracefully sliced its way through the air while I continued my spree. I sprinted through the aisles, looking up in awe at the massive bulk products that towered over me. Overcome with wonder, I wanted to touch and taste, to stick my head into industrialsized freezers, to explore every crevice.…

My experience at the Houston Food Bank was rewarding, fun, and enlightening. It was rewarding knowing that I was filling bags of rice to help those in need. At one point, I went outside and saw a long line of vehicles waiting to get food, and that, made volunteering worth it. It was an enlightening experience because I have always thought the Houston Food Bank was for homeless people, but it is not. It is for working people who have a hard time buying groceries after paying their bills.…

I never expected working at a fast food restaurant to change my life. When I first applied online, I had a preconceived notion about what my experience at Chipotle would be like. I expected the fast food restaurant to be like any other I had heard about. I would go to work, make food, then go home. In direct contrast, the environment at Chipotle is like nothing I’ve ever experienced, not even in a Christian school.…

My visit to Costco Wholesale I decided to visit Costco because I knew it would have a greater amount of people shopping at once than other stores near me, such as Fry’s and Safeway. This would allow me to observe a greater number of interactions with more ease. Costco is a membership-only warehouse that sells items in larger quantities than a regular grocery store. Costco claims to have lower prices as well, and they usually carry few brand options for the same product. I went to Costco on Monday at 10:00 am, which is when they open.…

The Trip to the Grocery Store I haven’t seen him in weeks or maybe even months, I thought as I glared across the small distance between where I was standing and my dad’s car.
