Personal Narrative: My Experience At Boston University

As an individual who is never satisfied with the status quo and is always involved, Boston College presents the perfect opportunity for me to grow both personally and intellectually. Since birth, Jesuit values and traditions have been embedded in my identity. My mom, an alumna of the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, stressed social justice, volunteerism, and community service throughout my childhood, encouraging me to get involved in organizations for the benefit of others. In the fall of my sophomore year, I had the chance to attend a convention at Brandeis University where student-led groups from all over Massachusetts came together to discuss and share their work in philanthropy.
