Personal Narrative: My Experience At Arden Courts

Improved Essays
On December 16th, we arrived at Arden Courts at 12:35pm. Upon arrival we met Diane and Sharon. We initially decorated ornaments for the windows until 1pm. Shortly after, we went to get the residents from their respective houses and then did trivia. Resident M and Resident E answered most of the questions. After we did trivia, we had a dance party. I danced with Resident J, U and E.
Resident J was very mobile and danced to every song; however she could not speak English. Resident U was extremely high functioning. He liked to dance and talk. Resident E is one of the highest functioning residents at Arden Courts. She remembered almost all of the lyrics to the songs and was very easy to talk to. During trivia, Resident S kept wanting to get out

I am so glad I had the priveledge to see the movie, War Room, with my Life Group. I have to admit, since applying Miss Clara's war room, my quality of prayer has greatly improve. My first stop on the hunt for government offices and or buildings in Snyder is the Scurry County Courthouse. I had no problem finding this building due to how it's located in the center of town and all the main roads lead to the "square" where the Courthouse is located. The buildings address is 1806 25th street. Lainey, Ellis and I met at the building so we could take pictures for each other around 5:42 p.m. and there was no one in the parking lot except our own cars, but there was a bit of business due to people getting off work. The Courthouse is surrounded by various boutiques and a business that serves ice cream and coffee.…

I currently reside in Markham, the city is a part of York Region and is located just north of Toronto. I moved there at the end of eighth grade, and since then it has been my hometown. Markham is a boring place to be, rarely does anything eventful ever happens, and there is really nothing to do, there is a mall, a theatre and occasionally there’s a festival, which is pretty much it. This is aided by the fact that crime is low in the city, there are few murders and little robberies, with most notable crimes being the occasional weed deal here and there. Markham is also a quiet place, mainly thanks to a small population, the minimal traffic and lack of pedestrians keeps noise to a minimum.…

Growing up in one of the poorest regions of the United States has taught me two things; one, we are not defined by stereotypes, and two, hardships are made to be overcome. Nestled in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, Middlesboro, KY sits on the Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia border. The multicolored fall foliage and the vivid green mountains in the spring are disserved by the descriptor spectacular. My roots are firmly nestled in the Cumberland Gap where Daniel Boone started his journey to the West decades ago. I am proud to call myself an Appalachian-American.…

A mixture of mud, blood, and dust coated our bodies; to my left and right, cannonballs flew at us. Though we knew not how or when we were going to succeed, we just knew that we had to succeed. Every hardship I had gone through had led to this moment, every hardship I went through had made me become this person. I am Lafayette, and if socialising, sailing the terrifying sea, and living in Valley Forge couldn't shake me, then no British army would.…

The prison official, Rick Hudson, invited me to tour the maximum-security lockup in northeast Amarillo.…

Though I was not able to put all of my attention to school until junior year, I kicked it into high gear as soon as I could. Despite all my hard work, I was unable to find myself a place in the top 10%. I headed into the courtroom of Judge Thomas Marcelain to observe my first courtroom trial. The trial involved a 31-year-old man named, Daniel Bohanna, of Pataskala. Mr. Bohanna decided to represent himself in his trial for fear of misrepresentation. He was charged with rape, kidnapping, and felonious assault. I have seen footage on T.V. from famous trials and of course seen reenactments from Hollywood, but I have never been to one in person until now.…
