Personal Narrative: My Experience As A Soccer Player

Sweat ran down my face. The heat was on. We held them off attack after attack, but I was

sure our wall would fall this time. They were all over us in the last ten minutes of the match.

When the referee blew the final whistle, a huge sigh of relief swept over me and I was overjoyed

at us winning. Ninety minutes of pressure and intensity were over. This was just one of many

intense soccer games that helped me develop my skill of playing as a leftback. One of many

skills that I possess, this one is special to me in being something that I am extremely good at.

Starting at the age of 5, I gradually began to learn and improve. Starting at an early age,

practicing on the skill when I discovered it, remembering the best moments, and cherishing
