Personal Narrative: My Elevator Observation

After a long, hard day of work, I decided to head home for the day. As I stepped into the elevator, a mob of six people came in after. I pressed the button marked, L, for the Lobby and we started our voyage downward. As we neared the fifth floor, I felt a difference in the way the elevator was functioning. Consequently, the lights turned off and the elevator stopped. I was not surprised, but my unwitting coworkers kept conversing with each other. As my friend, Josh, haphazardly began to freak out, the others noticed we were stopped. Then, my boss made a spontaneous decision to press the fire alarm on the elevator, knowing that people would soon be there to help.
