Personal Narrative: My Education In High School

Discovering my hidden potential was the most critical and profound hurdle I had to overcome.

During middle school, I was a chubby child teased about my weight. Nevertheless, I enjoyed going to school and never paid much attention to the rude comments made by the other children. All in all, I had confidence in myself. However, what I lacked was hard work and consistency in by studies which caused significant problems in getting the grades necessary for a good education.

Living with my mother in a neighborhood that wasn't the safest. So instead of her enrolling me in the public school system, she decided that I would do better if I received my education online.

When she left for work, I did everything except study. Consequently, my grades showed that it takes a tremendous amount of discipline and maturity, for a child my age, to have online schooling

He also arranged for a tutor to come and assist me with my studies.

By the time school started I felt that I was ready for the challenge of the 7th grade. During that school term, most of my time was spent reading, studying or completing homework. My Damascus moment came when I received my first quarter report card, with all A's, that I realized what hard work and discipline could accomplish. In addition to maintaining excellent grades for the remaining of the year, I was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. I also obtained a medal during the award ceremony at the end of the year for my scholarly performance.

To this day, I still strive for excellence. Whether it's in the classroom or activities outside of school, I make sure I give my best effort. I'm not perfect by any means, but on the days that I perform unsatisfactorily, I learn from them so that way I can develop more enhanced
