Personal Narrative: My Eastern Michigan Football Game

Before I delve deep into the fascinating Toledo vs. Eastern Michigan football game. I just wanted to give you a fair warning that this game happened a long time ago. I just completely forgot to write my karma points on the game. Now, this football game was not just a regular game, it was the homecoming football game. All the activities that occurred this week led up to this one game, and I was determined to attend the game. The football game started fairly early on Saturday (12:00 am to be exact) so my friends and I did not make it to the start of the game because we were busy sleeping in bed. Luckily, when we finally woke up the game was just about to start so we got dressed and made our way to the football stadium. The only problem was we did not dress for the weather. We all showed up in jeans and a T-shirt but it was around 90° F so we were all sweaty and hot even before the game started Before we got to the game I was nervous about going because I did not want Toledo to lose the game, and I am not a very big football fan. I mainly went to the game just to enjoy the atmosphere, and to spend a good time with my friends. Once we all actually got to the game (it was the start of the second quarter) we split and hung out with different people. My friend Angie and I met up with some of our friends in the front …show more content…
Going into the game I thought I would not enjoy it as much as I did. I am pretty sure I enjoyed it a lot more because I was with my friends the entire game. Now I would recommend gong to the homecoming football game to all my friends because I really is a one time event that you can attend during your college experience. I went to a regular season football game, and the atmosphere was just not the same as this homecoming game was. I will defentialy go to the homecoming football game during the rest of my college experience, and I am glad this game did not

In twenty-nine seasons, four hundred sixty-four breathe taking games that usually had me on the edge of my chair, spread out on the floor with eyes closed with nervousness. When playoff time comes around I made sure to tune into every game; I would wake up to ESPN, WFAN, and NFL network it felt like a relationship. I would spend hours listening to the commentator break down each team plays only to ascertain about the opposing squad. All of my family, friends, and co-worker knew once the game was on the television my team was going to be the first to score. The amount of time I have put in observing the game, I wanted to represent the team I love by wearing the team colors.…

I thought of beating lake shore and blocking all my blocks and having the whole team yell common Josh Arnold from the sidelines. That was one thing I thought about when I was going through camp week and practice everyday. When I would feel tired in football I would think about my team cheering me on during camp and I would think about all the games we would win. Everyday during practice I would always try and think of the positive things about football, and what it will give me in life. One day I was extremely tired from all my test and we had a game, vs. Grand Rapids, that day and I had slept the entire way there which was only an hour drive but it was long enough for almost half of the team to fall asleep on the way to the game.…

From a young age, I always loved playing football; being out on the field is one of the best feelings ever. The adrenaline, hearing the crowd cheering, scoring touchdowns; it a rush that goes through my veins and I cannot get enough of it. I would play because I enjoyed it, but I had no idea how the simple game of football would change my life for the better. Growing up I used to see my friends come home from little league practice everyday on school days and that really used to make me mad. They used to get home when the street lights were on and we were not able to come outside and play at that time.…

What was once a fun sport to play with friends and family started to feel more like a job. The excitement and anticipation I had once had for practices turned to a bitter regret. The football practices in high school were polar opposites of my fun, exciting, little league practices. And on top of that, my school hadn’t had a winning season in the past five years.
