Personal Narrative: My Eastern Michigan Football Game

Decent Essays
Before I delve deep into the fascinating Toledo vs. Eastern Michigan football game. I just wanted to give you a fair warning that this game happened a long time ago. I just completely forgot to write my karma points on the game. Now, this football game was not just a regular game, it was the homecoming football game. All the activities that occurred this week led up to this one game, and I was determined to attend the game. The football game started fairly early on Saturday (12:00 am to be exact) so my friends and I did not make it to the start of the game because we were busy sleeping in bed. Luckily, when we finally woke up the game was just about to start so we got dressed and made our way to the football stadium. The only problem was we did not dress for the weather. We all showed up in jeans and a T-shirt but it was around 90° F so we were all sweaty and hot even before the game started Before we got to the game I was nervous about going because I did not want Toledo to lose the game, and I am not a very big football fan. I mainly went to the game just to enjoy the atmosphere, and to spend a good time with my friends. Once we all actually got to the game (it was the start of the second quarter) we split and hung out with different people. My friend Angie and I met up with some of our friends in the front …show more content…
Going into the game I thought I would not enjoy it as much as I did. I am pretty sure I enjoyed it a lot more because I was with my friends the entire game. Now I would recommend gong to the homecoming football game to all my friends because I really is a one time event that you can attend during your college experience. I went to a regular season football game, and the atmosphere was just not the same as this homecoming game was. I will defentialy go to the homecoming football game during the rest of my college experience, and I am glad this game did not

It was the week of the Michigan vs. Ohio State game and Michigan was at home, Begley and I had spent most our time in physics class talking about it and how Michigan was going to pull off a huge upset. 5 days before that unforgettable Saturday Begley told me and two of my friends he was going to buy us student section tickets and take us to the game. I immediately called bullshit and laughed, it seemed like complete blasphemy because he wanted student section tickets that would cost $125 each and another $100 each to be verified. A $900 event, no high school student can just pull this kind of money out of their ass. That is when Begley pulled off something I thought was impossible.…

I believe that was the best I had ever seen our student section. The only rude thing the pep club did to me, was during a quarter when we ran out and do stunts and a cheer, they turned their backs on me. They were loud and very excited to be there. Every game since then has been just as excited and just as loud as that game, I like to tell myself that it was me that gave our school so much spirit. It took me six months to convince Jack to let me back into pep club for my sophomore year of high school.…

I can smell the excitement in the air. The crimson and white colors on everyone, and some people have even painted their bodies. It is football season, finally. Tuscaloosa has been referred to as “The City Of Champions” because of The University Of Alabama’s sports teams--mainly football. My very first organized basketball game, three years ago, I was a scared, nervous, and excited mess. Wait, let's backtrack to weeks before the game. The level of anticipation among my team for the first game was sky-high. Our team, Purdue, hadn't known each other at all before we were grouped together. Over a span of a few brief weeks, we became quite close.…

It was the last day in October, so you think it would be cold. It was over seventy degrees at the start of the game and did not get much lower than that throughout the night. The weather was perfect for a Monday night football game. It was a good game throughout, as it was expected to be. It was so loud the entire game but the loudest and most exciting part was at the end.…

When it comes to college basketball I am a Carolina loving type of guy, my room is decorated all over with UNC merchandise. I’ve been to one basketball game at UNC and it was a blast. On the day of the game, I was very anxious to leave and get to the school because Carolina is my dream college and i will hopefully receive a scholarship to attend there when I graduate. I remember this day as though it was yesterday, I wore Carolina attire from head to toe, even my baby brother was dressed out for the game. When we got to the game, parking was hectic and fans started to pour in from all over, Carolina was facing UNC-W at home and was expected to win by a large margin.…

Homecoming Queen In highschool popularity is what most strive to accomplish, because it makes high schoolers feel welcomed and loved by the surrounding pizza. Although you always hear olders say what happens in high school won’t matter 10 years down the road, that just goes right in one ear and out the other. Because our parents/grandparents “don't understand”. I have been guilty of this myself.…

My First Experience in Foster Auditorium When I was in high school I played volleyball all four years. I absolutely loved the sport and couldn’t get enough of it. I played on many travel teams and counted down the days until the summer Olympics, so I could watch the United States team play and dominate the tournament. I know the sport very well, but had never experienced a college game live. I had watched the Olympics since I was a kid and would watch the Texas Longhorns every once in awhile, but I had yet to go to a game.…

This past Saturday my wife and I along with my daughter and her two kids rode the fan bus to the USM vs LSU game in Baton Rouge. Taking the bus and not having to drive in the traffic was a great decision! The trip and the first half of the game were perfect, but because this is a family blog, I will withhold my thoughts on the second half of the game. However, despite the second half disappointment, the trip was a success.…
