When I worked on my Eagle project, I had to communicate between my troop, the homeless shelter I was working for, the people I was buying supplies from, and the people who were helping me raise funds. I had never built a patio or barbeque area, nor had I refurbished a bench before, so I took careful notes from both a contractor and a handyman to ensure I did it right. To get the project approved, I wrote a 14-page proposal, and then raised $1000. Then, due to an irremovable deadline, I ended up doing the project the same week as my SAT and all three of my AP tests.
