Dream Day With Dez

“You want to be the best there ever is. Get out there and earn it.”(Dez Bryant) If I could spend a day with any famous person I would chose Dez Bryant. Dez is an American football wide receiver who plays for the Dallas Cowboys. He’s 6’2, dark skinned, brown eyes, and brown hair. He has lived in Texas for most his life. He had a troubled childhood bouncing from foster home to foster home. Dez has been playing football since he was in highschool. I would want to meet Dez Bryant out of all people because he inspires me. Dez Bryant is a person I see as someone who never gives up, and works for what they want. Dez Bryant has become an amazing wide receiver because of how hard he works. He also inspires me on how he doesn't care what anyone thinks, and does his own thing. I think he’s an amazing individual in everything he does. Not only is he an amazing person but he’s also nice to look at. It is important for me to meet him because not only is he my favorite football player. I also want to know what

There I ordered a crab platter and a Dr. Pepper. We sat and I asked all the rest of the questions I had to ask. For example I asked what made him want to become a football player, and how he stays so strong against the people who hate on him. I also asked him about his rough childhood and how that affected him as a person. I also asked simple questions like his favorite color and food. I wanted to get all the information I could to get to know him. After we finish our last meal together it's almost seven. We still have about another hour to kill so we went to a near mall where I had him sign my number 88 jersey, which of course is his number and I also had him sign some of my other things like my phone case and a football. We then went around and shopped at American Eagle, Zumiez, Rue 21, and other stores. To end our night we bought some smoothies and said our

Honestly, I’ll come right out and admit that I have never been the Detroit Lion’s number one fan, or any football fan for that matter. Sure, I had technically gone to each of the homecoming games both years in high school, but only for the sole excuse of being able to put some red war paint on my face and attempt to catch up with some friends. The only exposure I had to the sport was walking through the doors of Phase Three during cross country season. Day after day, I was forced to push through groups of teenage guys reeking with a putrid stench of dried sweat, rotting eggs, and grass stains; the smell in itself was enough to make my eyes water.…

People coming from a different planet would think every day things we do in life are weird. What we have adapted to and think are normal look very weird to others who haven’t seen people doing things like this. Such as someone who has never shaved before would think that is very odd to shave your beard. Or someone who has never seen a drive threw would think it’s weird to have people have food handed out the window. As we think other cultures are weird we have to look at the fact that our culture is weird to others People that have never seen basketball would thing it is a bunch of people running around with a ball.…

Tryout Day was very emotional. The whole day was bittersweet. I woke up that morning and immediately cried when I thought about leaving my girls. I got emotional again when I wore my hat for the last time. By the time the day ended, I felt better and promised myself that I wouldn’t cry again.…

That was embarrassing I love the game of basketball, even when I score in the other team’s basket. In my defense, I was only six years old and it was my first time being on a basketball team. Me and my older brother Houston were on the same team, and at the time we were losing by seven or eight points and there was hardly any time left in the game, maybe a second or two. I was always the smallest kid on the court…

I am currently a baseball player for Lower Columbia College where I am also pursuing a general education AA with the expectation of transferring to a four-year college or university in fall of 2016. I signed with the Red Devils in 2014 while still in high school, receiving a scholarship to play for them during my college freshman and sophomore years. Although I originally planned on majoring in education to teach math and science at the middle and high school levels, my interests have shifted to focus on sports therapy/physical therapy due to my involvement in sports. I have been playing baseball since I was seven (7) years old, dedicating a large percentage of my time and energy to be the best player possible. Because I was always on the…

My recurrent shoulder dislocations were a constant battle, but a battle in which I’d always won. After a dislocation, all it took was a couple weeks of physical therapy before I could return to the baseball field. Although, after my fifth dislocation I ended up sitting in the hospital awaiting the results of my MRI with an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach. My surgeon soon returned with news that my injury required a season-ending surgery. Thus, I had a Bankart Repair on my throwing shoulder, and afterwards, although devastated, I supported my teammates from the sidelines for the entirety of the season.…

It is obvious by the time he returns to watch Rudy during a game that he has become very successful. He pulls up to the game in a limo with a chauffeur, who takes a glass of champagne from his hands. It is because of this scene that I do believe that D-Bob has accomplished many things after attending law school at the University of Miami. The level of esteem needs is all about reaching self-accomplishments and being recognized for them, both of which are currently happening at this point in time of D-Bob’s life. For him to move on to the next level, it would seem to me that he either receives his J.D. and works for a highly recognized law firm or that he settles down with his girlfriend and starts a family that is well off from…

When I was about six years old, my friends who were about 12 or 13 at the time invited me to the baseball field. The one bad part was that to get to the baseball field we had to cross a major road to get there, but at least there was a light. My parents told me I could only go if we were being driven, but I went anyway. It was scary crossing the street, mostly because we did not cross at the crosswalk. We were too lazy to walk down the neighborhood and cross at the light.…
