Personal Narrative: My Disagree With The Online School Experiment

Decent Essays
I disagree with the online school experiment. My first reason is because we have access to the internet which can cause students to cheat. Secondly, not being able to interact with others will deprive us from having social skills that is needed in the future work force and in life. Lastly, in the case where libraries are closed and under construction, my home would be the only option. There are too many distractions at home, such as, my sibling, television and noises.

My first reason was cheating: Because its the truth we have access to the internet so when people don't know the answer they just look it up on google to find the answer and its not right to take somebody work thats not yours its called plagarism.

My second reason was not being able to interact with others: Because some people love being able to interact with other people to get there work done but sometimes i like to interact with others as well cause if we don't it will deprive us from having social skills that is needed in the future work force and in life.

On line education has given me a reason to believe that all things are possible and…

This year has been a crazy one. I came from a public school, not knowing anyone, so I terrified and didn't know what to expect. I struggled with trusting others, time management and battling multiple tasks at once. Luckily, I had a lot of practice throughout the year. For instance when we had to record a News Show for Mr.Mora's class, I was faced with all of these problems.…

In reality distance learning means that some or all of the educational delivery is done “remotely” or outside of the traditional walls of the classroom. Nontraditional Learning may also indicate that the learning format or assessment process may be different than that of a traditional model. Although the term Online College often carries a negative connotation, distance learning is not inferior as an educational delivery method. The negative connotation may be a holdover from some past unscrupulous practices and the ignorance of some current nay sayers that have little knowledge over the true methods of distance learning and its 100 plus long years of effective usage. Just as some distance learning models have had some unscrupulous practices in the past, so has its brick and mortar program counter part.…

My family and I had to make the hardest decision if I were to stay home schooled, or go to public school. I really wanted to go to public school, but a small part of me wanted to stay home schooled because I thought I wasn't ready to bring on that big of a challenge. Big school with lots of kids, teachers, rooms, and lockers are all different and new for me. Lockers is the biggest one for me because I have never ever in my life had a locker before. Friends is another one because I know a lot of people that go to Foothills, but I knew there will be pumps along the way.…

In my opinion this online school does not help students. Even if there are teachers to help us learn, most of is do not ask because we think that we don't need the help to finish the course. I am in a position where this online school does not help me understand anything that i learn. What if someone does not like to read at all? What if someone learns faster and better by someone who teaches physically and verbally and not just some words on the computer?…

Everything I was learning for the first time, my parents were learning for the first time. Through my educational struggles, I learned about the American school system. To be honest, I hate school with a passion, yet I love learning as much as living. As a child, schooling created a feeling of loneliness and sadness that echoed throughout my life, even now. I didn’t meet the standard levels for literacy and was separated from my classmates in elementary school for special reading and writing classes. Also the lack of freedom to say and move the way I wished to, and the rebellion that stemmed out of me in middle school due to these limitations. Finally, the conforming in high school to appease my mother, friends that drove me over the edge, yet even now I feel the same bull-crap in college.…

I was in a very interesting situation with high school. I was able to do high school in a traditional setting as well as online, and I did online schooling two different ways. Online and traditional schooling are both very good ways to learn, but not everything works for everyone. A lot of people like myself respond better to online schooling and for good reason. Online schooling is more ideal than traditional schooling because you get to work at your own pace, there are less distractions than a traditional school setting, it can be a lot more challenging than a traditional school, and I was able to be a lot more flexible with my time.…

Education has been a key part to society since the beginning of time. Without education we would still be outside living primitively, without any math, science and an English language. Distance learning is usually a course in which an instructors post syllabi, reading assignments, and schedules on websites, and students send in their assignments by email (Cornellius). Everyone has their own experience with distance learning. The problem is that everyone learns differently, and has their own ways of processing information.…
