Dear Diary, I’m Jessica Carlisle and I just got back from the worst experience in my entire life! I was in a car accident on my way to a track meet and when I woke up, my leg had was gone. Dr. Wells at Mercy Hospital said he had to cut off my leg but my entire life is filled with running, what could I possibly do? Life was miserable at the hospital, days dragged on and I was constantly having phantom dreams. Every time I start thinking about my life before this devastating car wreck I reverie about my track experiences and having two legs to run so easily on. I’m in so much distress and I realize now that my life will be filled with so much hardship. Dr. Wells says I’m “beautifully healing” but I tune him out because I have no interest in
