Personal Narrative: My Definition Of Survival

To complete my application for this job I have put together the best that I could of the perfect group of people with traits that could survive any unexpected incidents. Based off the readings and articles I have read contributing to the topic I have been able to form my own definition of survival. Many different experts in this topic have there own options but I have taken a little from each different expert to form key traits that I think it takes to survive. This article talked about the topic that in accidents or incidents the number of women who make it out alive and survivor are much higher than the number of men. Based of the article the “reason they survived was because they were biological aspects and willing to take reasonable risks to survive. My second piece of evidence comes from the article “Is Survival Selfish” by Lane Wallace. The topic of the article is talking about a story of women who was in a disastrous accident who then put herself self in front of others so that she could get out alive and the article is asking “Was what she did right or was it not?” This story shows a perfect example of what I believe is not a survivor because in the article the women leave her friends behind only to save herself.
