Personal Narrative: My Definition Of Fear

People in the world will always have something that they cherish, something that they love, and something they do not want to lose. This statement concludes the weakest people to the strongest people; even a person with the highest power like Barak Obama or the person who owns the production of oil. They all have their darkest fears, and fear something. I am one of many fears. First off, the definition of fear and how fear is ignited should be explained. Fear is an unpleasant feeling caused by the mind. Fear is handled and distributed throughout many variations. Fear can implant itself into any emotions whether it is a joyous memory or an emotion of anger or despair. The irony with fear is that the sentiment can turn something that a person holds dear or cherishes into an abomination. However, fear can also be a useful tool for someone’s confidence or making that person more cautious or aware of things that might be dangerous. The hysterical thing about it is that there is no room for forgiveness when it comes to fear or even self-awareness. Fear has shaped me, and turned me into the man I am now; though it is not my decision to clarify what kind of man I am; that is for other people like my peers to decide. But yes, multiple times I have had fears. For example, this past year of our marching band season; at semi-state, everyone in our band feared that we were not going to make it to state. Even though, almost everyone within the program had confidence that we had an awesome show that day. But when the awards started, fear struck every person at that stadium.
