Personal Narrative: My Decision For College

Online reviews didn't really partake in decision for college. The internet did help me get information on colleges near me so I could really make a secure, final decision. I actually went a completely different route in choosing my career path. I’d say it has really changed my future so far and for the better. I originally had my future planned out as a Naval Officer in the United States Navy. This was my dream career ever since 5th grade and I learned to love the ocean. As I got older and things in my life started changing, I thought to myself if going into the military was really “for me?” I mentioned my career plans to my art teacher because she was the only person I really trusted and wanted an opinion from. I was really nervous because it was so late in the year, most of the colleges deadlines had already ended. I used the internet to find colleges near where I was raised. I currently live in New York, but I was raised in Pennsylvania. After I graduated, I planned on moving back to Pennsylvania to go to college there. I noticed most of the universities weren't accepting applications anymore, so I looked a little more in depth for colleges.
I finally found a college that the deadline wasn’t over with yet and was somewhat close to my hometown. Pennsylvania College of Art & Design had a 42% acceptance rate. The challenge of being accepted into this college made me want it even more. I applied and they accepted my application. This was one step closer for me making my future great. I realized that no other college I found online was for me, this college in Pennsylvania truly spoke to me. I was given the opportunity to go and visit the college and have an interview with my counselor.
I fell more in love with this college after touring it and the beautiful town of Lancaster, PA. Shortly after my visit, I received a letter saying I was accepted officially into the college. I realized most of my enrollment was online. This played a huge role in filling out my personal information and application for a
