Personal Narrative: My Dad Is My Hero

Hero painting is a beautiful and wonderful thing full of expression and wonder. But what is a painting without its color? Is it really a painting? Only when the color and image combine may it really achieve the true wonder of the painting. To me the special and coveted relationship with a hero is the same way, the hero through his actions makes the dull and boring sketches of a relationship turn into something of beauty. My Dad Carroll Cannon III, Is my hero because he pushes me to be my best in any circumstance, he helps and guides me, and is always there for me.

“When the world says give up, hope whispers try one more time,” If this quote is true hope must be my dad. My Dad pushes me to try whatever I want and he will help me do whatever I want. He would follow me to the ends of the earth and 5 times longer, just so he can be there to push me along the way and be there when his words of encouragement expand my wings and propel me across the finish line. And along our great journey whenever I stop and give up he will not let me until I’ve given my all at everything I commit to. My Dad is my hero because of how hard he will push me along our colorful and magnificent journey.

He helps me by providing physical things like a hand when I fall and stumble, or a nice word when I’m feeling down. But also mental things like providing me with opportunities I would ever need and guiding me to do certain things. He comes and helps me by picking me up and on the journey and leads me on and
