My Current Skills

As a musician, I am currently improving my abilities before I release my own work as I want it to be made at a high standard. However, I am able to reflect and see the skills that have helped me advance at the rate that I have. I am in a good mindset in terms of wanting to learn, perform and create, and this will lead to greater things with the quality of my music. I am willing to do the work that is required for me to improve my specialist, employable, and study skills so that one day I will be able to work within the music industry.

I learnt these skills by studying at home from watching tutorial videos and through practicing within the software.

I am able to write my own lyrics for my music and try to improve this skill by going over lyrics I have written previously and improving them by making the message more subtle and adding synonyms that fit better. I have to make sure the lyrics fit with the mood that I am trying to achieve, whether they be irregular and harsh or fluid and gentle.

I understand how to get my work out there and how to manage several social media pages due to my experience with using social media over the years. I have explored how some of my favourite artists developed their careers and I see other acts who are trying to get exposure go routes that are more successful than others.

Being in a music college means I am around people who are helping to advance each other’s aspirations so I have access to guidance and support that will help me improve my skills. If i require help with an issue I will have no problems finding somebody that could help me resolve

I like to watch videos or listen to somebody teaching and write down explanations that make sense to me. Through writing, I feel that I learn faster so I usually take notes several times on the same topic to make sure I understand that area of study to an excellent standard. I never end up writing the same thing each time as I usually write most about what I have trouble remembering and overtime this changes. This helps with college work and for improving my own abilities as I have easy access to information that is clear as I wrote it myself in a way that I will understand as well as it being a faster learning

As a result, the decision to extern for BMG Chrysalis was an easy one.…

The quote "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn" by Benjamin Franklin tells me that by just telling me without showing me will not let me learn anything. I agree with this quote because when a teacher or someone tells me something about an assignment or homework I will eventually forget about it but if some one teach it to me step by step and I write it down will let me remember. By writing down the notes that the teachers wrote down step by step and write it my own understanding will make me understand more about the lesson because who understands my writing more than myself.…

My innate ability is caring for people. I have seen my talent become enhanced based upon my experiences with patient care. I find this quality is constantly growing based solely upon my experiences as an aspiring Physician Assistant. No matter what the environment each professional shares the same compassion as the other. I witnessed it firsthand when I shadowed a PA in an Emergency care setting, versus the time I followed a PA in a rural family medical practice.…

As a person I have been a diabetic ever since the age of three. However, I have been able to manage both my diabetes and my education and have been proud of this. Even though I am diabetic, I like people to view me as myself rather than my disease because my personality gives off who I am, not the diabetes. I enjoy taking on challenges as it leaves a learning experience for me and benefitting from it. As I review the questions provided for me to include in my goal statement, I feel lucky to express how theatre is unique to me and how I structure my everyday life around the dramatic arts.
