My community is well known for being multicultural since we consider El Paso, Tx and CIudad Juarez, Mexico, to be a big united city. As Americans, here in El Paso, we are all proud to be able to speak perfect English and Spanish as well as to be part of both cultures. Many people from El Paso,TX and from Juarez cross each day to the opposite city where they work, go to school, or visit family. That is why we consider both cities, to be a big city that is just divided by an international border. An international border is the only barrier preventing us from doing and seeing the people we love. We all have some kind of story that connects us back to Juarez and is what unites us all. I feel like the people of my community deserve something better since they respect the community as well as help it grow. There need to be need improvements done that will make everyone's lives easier. One thing that I would definitely like in order to improve my community, would be to facilitate the international borders in order for people to cross easier without difficulties. Many people don't cross the border because there is usually a waiting time of 3 or more hours. Why do people need to suffer in order to see their loved ones? The main factor for this wait time are mainly truck drivers that are transporting goods from one country to the other. So I would propose the idea of making a single international border in El Paso, Tx and Juarez exclusively for truck drivers. This would minimize the waiting time as well as the traffic in both cities. I feel like such a big and friendly community should be able to give back to the people by making their lives easier. All I;m asking is for our bridge to be easier to use, so we can continue to expand the love for our
