Personal Narrative: My Comcast Customer Service

I have been a Comcast customer for over eight years, and have had serious customer service issues dealing with billing, service, and contracts over the years.

Because I live on my Social Security, I called the Retention/Loyalty phone number on January 2nd to ask if I could sign up for a lower-cost 2-year service contract. I had been paying over $160 per month, and asked if there was a plan that would be less expensive. I talked to an agent, and signed up for a triple play plan of $129.99 per month, less credit deductions; and was told my monthly bill would be approximately $152. When I received my pro-rated bill, it was $175.77. My next bill was $171.30. Neither was no where near the amount I signed up for!
