Personal Narrative: My Collaboration

Decent Essays
In my collaboration assignment, I faced a few challenges, but I also learned many things. When I went looking for inspiration for a subject that would inspire me, I found an article about traces of antibiotics in the environment. It interested me, and I thought that it might be a good article to use. I researched for more information, and I found another article about antibiotic resistance. It explained how bacteria in the natural environment had a resistance to antibiotics. This subject I learned was very interesting, and I am glad that I researched this information. When I finally wrote my article, me and my collaboration partner finished the assignment.

Since the first encounter with this family, I was fascinated by how much they love and support each other. Mr. and Mrs. I, I learned, have been together for over 50 years; it was the first and the last relationship for both of them. I was glad to know that the family is very enthusiastic about me visiting them working together on their concerns. Initially, I had to clarify few times the goals of our collaboration because I felt like they had a perception that I could facilitate their experience with health care system and speed up referral process and Mr. I. acceptance to the rehabilitation…

It is always very hard to interact with people whose experiences or beliefs that differ from your own and it’s especially hard if you’re an introverted person who would rather just enjoy the comfort of working by themselves like myself. However, I have had to endure the undesirable decision to work with people who hold different beliefs and experiences than I do. There have been times where I have thoroughly enjoyed working with others; however, there have been times where I’ve wished that I could have worked by myself. In my junior year of high school, I had signed up for a class called AP Capstone Seminar that called for the students to collaborate with other individuals in the class to create a argumentative essay and present a presentation.…

However, after completing this project, I felt very accomplished because I was able to communicate my research findings through writing. I also realized that I can take advantage of this experience to communicate effectively to other members of society. For instance, I can use these writing skills to write a proper resume and cover letter that will highlight my qualifications. I can also notify other employees, supervisors and clients of my progress in a project through a progress report. I now have a much greater appreciation towards writing and I realized how writing can potentially change the way we communicate to one another in every aspect of…

Overall I think our team worked really well together but we fell through with our personal tasks. Something amazing happened in our group, we became friends! In the begging when our group met it was for mandatory reason, not to create a relationship between the members of our team. But as time went on we all started to become friends, I barley new any of the people on my team but now that we have laughed felt pressured and worked together towards a goal I feel that we have a connection. For example Parina was probably the coldest person in the group in the beginning trying to stay focused on our goal and not in enjoying the atmosphere created with our comedic group.…
