Personal Narrative: My Classroom Experience To The Predication Game

When my team and I received the clue packet for the neighborhood game, we really didn’t know what to expect or what issue we were trying to address. So, without anything to create a plan of action around, we decided to review the only thing we were given, the packet of clues. After opening the packet, we each took a small pile of the clue cards and read aloud or noted what was written on them. This was an unplanned action yet, while reading the cards aloud, one of my teammates noticed that some were phrased as questions, while others described what a family owned. From this quick information relay, we came to the realization that there were around five different categories of cards, those being: question, placement, relation, condition, and ownership cards. Consequently, we had an idea of what the activity revolved around: Find the Answers.

The next step we all agreed upon was to sort the cards into the groups, then read the question cards. Having sorted all of the cards into the groups and determined the problems we were solving for, we voiced our opinions. The general consensus was that we needed to find what families met the criteria being asked on the question cards, and that we would probably have to find where the

The first time we worked as a team we didn’t talk much, we were afraid to take chances, and we weren’t very engaged. We were essentially the opposite of this during the Neighborhood Game. In the future, I think that we would probably exhibit the same team dynamics since we have broken through the initial barriers of unfamiliarity. Thing that I would change with the team is our overall awareness. We need to be more cognizant of when we get tunnel vision since we have a habit of missing important clues that fall outside of our direct line of
