Improved Essays
The choice to study at AMU was something that I have contemplated for some time now, specifically due to the fact that I am a military spouse and AMU works so well with military and their families fairly easily. I work full time and so does my husband, along with raising a toddler, I feel as though AMU will give me the flexibility I need to complete my degree at my own pace. Since I work full time I need a school that is able to offer classes when most other schools will not offer classes due to breaks and vacations. Trying to work around the schedule of another school and the different times they offer specific courses will be quite the challenge with my already hectic schedule. I have heard many good things from other spouses about AMU and

Getting a college education would be my escape route to deviate away from becoming a low income family like my mother and her previous generations. In high school, if there was an opportunity to lead or stand out, I hurried in the opposite direction, I was too self-conscious to participate in any situation where I might fail or face abashment, and I particularly avoided events where I would have to interact with people. However, since leaving high school, an extensive range of experiences has led me to transform from follower to leader. One of my greatest experiences was attending Radford University for my first Bachelors.…
