The day we arrived at Disney World was most certainly a lackluster one. For starters, the weather was absolutely terrible with the air being unbearably hot, humid and sticky. Sweat was dotted along our faces; at least, we think it was sweat, as it was nearly impossible to tell what with the torrential downpour coming down around us. Covered in bright yellow rain ponchos adorned with a figure of the classic version of Mickey Mouse on the back, the rain beat steady patterns onto the top of our heads and the wind blew even more droplets into our eyes. As we traveled up the usually vivid, but now grey and dreary, Main Street USA with me secure in my stroller, the chilly rainwater had puddled up on the asphalt so high that it reached the ankles of my parents and older siblings. Famous face characters such as the Disney Princes and Princesses were only possible to meet in the parks’ expensive restaurant areas that day. However, my family soon discovered a silver lining in that a small amount of characters, such as Goofy and Max from Disney’s A Goofy Movie, were available to meet at the Character Spot in Epcot.
