The second semester of my tenth-grade year was a “bump in the road” for me, both academically and personally. In January, I passed out in psychology class while watching a film. My mother took me to the doctor. I had low blood pressure, and there was something wrong with my heart rate, I took an EKG. My doctor said that the results of my EKG were abnormal, and I was referred to a cardiologist. I was then diagnosed with borderline QT syndrome. I had to stop playing lacrosse and taking my pill for my ADD. These limitations made school harder for me because I was off my pill. It was harder to concentrate at school.
