I had been told by my male doctor that I might have sensations come back to my breasts, but him being a male and never having a breast reduction, what he couldn’t tell me was that when the sensations came back they would feel like I had red flaming lightning bolts shooting out of my nipples. If this happened while I was in a conversation I would have to stop and gasp for air, in order to regain control of my body. The spasms would erase all thoughts and render me speechless. This issue lasted for months. I also had what the doctor described as Post traumatic shock syndrome; my body knew something traumatic had happened but because of the amnesia due to the anesthesia, my mind couldn’t connect what had happened. This was one side effect he forgot to tell me about. This lovely side effect caused my brain and mouth not work together. My verbal skills where those of a toddler at times, but I didn’t know this. I would often get upset with friends and family, who laughed at me or kept asking me to repeat myself. All in all, the glitches in the recovery process weren’t what I expected, but at this point I was happy it was all done and over
