Personal Narrative: My Biological Family Support System

Decent Essays
At the age of 12, I never knew that my life would crumble before my feet. While in care, I spent my time in 9 different foster homes, over a time period of 4 ½ years. While in care, the struggle for reunification seemed impossible. It wasn’t until it reached the 18 month mark into my case file that reunification wasn’t the best fit for my brothers and I resulting in termination of my parent’s parental rights. My brothers were adopted into a loving family after about 2 years in care; while I remained in foster care. At that time in my life I believed that if I was to ever be adopted I would be betraying my biological family.
As the days progressed while i spent my time in care; more and more of my biological family that was my support system
