I got to school and everyone was so excited about the trip I walked into my first period and there where was my best friend Mikayla sitting there on her phone like always. I sit down next to her and the teacher told us all to go to the bus. The ground was shaking so much it put a crack in the middle of the ground splitting David and April from Mikayla and matt they didn 't know what to do David wanted to jump across the crack but it was too risky to do. They had to think fast the earthquake was getting worse they decided that since they were split up and could not get the crack without going separate ways they were just going to meet up at the hotel after the quake was over if they were still alive they said their goodbyes and went their own ways. Matt and Mikayla were looking for a safe place to go and April and David were looking for a safe place to but everywhere they looked all they saw were collapsed buildings or they could not see that far past the shaking. April and David were running to find somewhere to go and April did not notice the indent in the road and she fell and hit her head and knees on the cement she was bleeding not stop David helped her get up and there was a rock on the side of her head and a piece of glass in her knee she could barely walk David cried out for help but there was no answer April was sobbing with pain her leg was covered in blood all she could see was red. David picked April up and carried her to the safest place he could find there he set her down and told her to stay there David went out to look for anything that would help while he was looking he found a radio and on the radio they were talking about the earthquake happening.
The radio said, “ANYBODY LISTENING TO THIS THAT IS THE EARTHQUAKE HELP IS ON THE WAY YOU ARE EXPERIENCING A 6.2 EARTHQUAKE STAY CALM AND STAY SAFE I REPEAT STAY CALM AND STAY SAFE PEOPLE ARE ON THERE WAY TO HELP YOU.”
David ran back to where April was, April I just heard there are people coming to help us soon once the earthquake is over.
Where did you hear that, April

The Wyoming backcountry is stunning. There is an infinite blanket of trees in every direction. The sky has two moods either happy: blue with cotton ball clouds or angry: a stormy scary black color. The air smells like sage and pine -- fresh and crisp. March 1st, 2013, the night I turned my freedom over to a 5ft2 blonde whose name will be left unmentioned due to the integrity I have. I was a dumb stupid freshman and could not see past all the warnings I received from upper classmen warning me about this girl. I thought she was the greatest thing that walked the earth. I felt I was in love and that she was the one I would marry some day. When I found out I was moving back to Colorado after my freshmen year I felt the world was coming to an end because that means I would have to leave her behind.…

August 2008. That’s when I first heard the news that I would have a new cousin, Thi, coming all the way from Vietnam. I was too young to understand how and why she was coming, but I was excited about my new friend nonetheless, and that’s all I could talk about. She made a huge impact on my life – she was not only someone to talk and relate to, but someone to look up to and take advice from as well.…

Senior Year My greatest memory so far in my eighteen years of being on this earth is without a doubt my senior year of high school. It was absolutely unforgettable. My senior year as a whole (which was just last year) was the most fun I’ve ever had in my life and the happiest I have ever been. When I was a chubby little freshman with glasses I thought to myself that high school would be one of the longest time periods of my life and that four years would feel like forty years. But man was I wrong, high school went by in the blink of an eye.…
