Personal Narrative: My Behavior Contract

My behavior contract was been a long and trying journey for me. It has allowed me to see my health in a whole new perspective. This journey has helped me see that losing weight has to become a lifestyle choice. Since my last short term goal I have hit a plateau. Changing my lifestyle has been a long trying journey for me. During this journey have some ups and down when trying to reach my goals. I reached my 1st short-term goal but sense then my weight has fluctuated, it was not been going steadily down. The reasoning in this is because I have had highs and lows since my last short-term goal. What has pushed me along this last month has been my family. They are continually asking me how my behavior change is going. This encourages me to keep trying and makes this change easier knowing that they have my back. One of the things that have made it harder to reach my goal …show more content…
When I become stressed instead of eating unhealthy food I could find some stress relief exercise. Another behavior change that I sound add is daily exercise each day. This will help my mental thought and improve my health making it easier to lose weight. This contract has been a constant struggle for me. The most difficult part of the contract is breaking my bad habits. This is because when things get busy I tend to fall back on my comfort zone. This has hindered me in reaching my second short-term goal. During this difficult change I have learned a lot about myself during this behavior change. I have to make this a lifestyle change and not a temporary change. My behavior change has been a slow process, but I am not going to give up. I am going to try to change my thought process and make sure I am making this a lifestyle. I am going to keep my same short- term and long-term goals because I need to push my self to reach these goals. I hit a plateau but I plan on stepping it up and reach my nest short-term
