Personal Narrative: My Band

I was waiting for the match ahead of me to be over. I hear the loud whistle come from the match and I walk over to the head table to check in. Butterflies were flying around my stomach. The people at the table hand me my band and I jog over to my coach, and see my opponent, the state champ. I put my green band on as my coach says “All you have to do is win the match and we win the duel.” That made my nerves go from 100 to 1,000. I walk to the center of the matt, and the ref walks over to us and says, “Shake hands.” We shake hands, one second later the ref yells “Wrestle.” The state champ shoots right off the whistle and takes me down. 2-0. He is starting to break me down but i reverse him and score 2 points. 2-2. There is about 30 seconds left in the first period, so i stall him out and 30 seconds go bye. The ref blows his loud whistle and we both stand up.
The ref flips a coin that on one side is green and the other side is red. My band color is green and the state champs color is red, and of course the coin lands on red. So he gets to pick first.
So the champ picks neutral so we are both on our feet. We go to the center of the matt, and the ref blows the whistle. I sprawl right off the whistle because i know he is going to shoot right off the whistle like he did before. I am super

I choose neutral. So we are both on our feet. We get back to the center of the mat, the ref blows the whistle. He doesn’t shoot right off the whistle like i thought he was. I grab his arm and lock his arm to his head with my hands, and then twist my hips and throw him over my back. His back slammed to the ground,As i am pinning him, he fights back alittle but not enough to get out. and the ref drops to the mat and starts to count. 1, 2, 3. His hand raises high then he smacks the mat. I stand to my feet, and shake the state champs hand. As that happens in my mind i am screaming, I
