Personal Narrative: My Band In High School

Who knew that band in high school had such a surprise in store for the new students. On top of the changes from middle school to high school already being terrifying. My experiences throughout high school band were enjoyful, prideful, and exhausting. Starting from the fun treats that band came with, to the long hot sweaty hours spent on the football field practicing our hearts out for every football game. I definitely would be a different person, if it wasn’t for the band experiences that I had, and the enjoyment it brought throughout high school. I played the trumpet, with the sweetest tunes to rock and roll music in high school. I could never forget the memories I had in band. All the pride and joy I felt, after every performance to the rock and roll concerts we had performing to all the families who came, and to all the students’ parents for free. With having such thrilling experiences comes practice, time, and hard work put into making the pieces of music come alive. Performing as one band, and not individuals who are better than the rest. I wanted to always impress people, and to show them how much my professionality meant to me. I really did support my band 110%, so much that, my mother really did grow a liking to going and watching my football games, and always picking me up and dropping me off at my performances, and practices. My band experiences in high school could have never been more thrilling. The support, of my friends and family is really what kept me pushing in band even at the hardest times, and when I really wanted to quit. Always doing their best, to keep the smile on my face. I really did enjoy my high school band experiences, and enjoyed all the times that band got me out of class during school, for pep rallies to freshman band
