Personal Narrative: My Appearance In Middle School

We all have that awkward stage. Whether it happens in the toddler years or middle school years when the sixth graders are still growing and their heads are too big for their bodies or even later in life, we all have had one. Mine however, was ALL my upper elementary school years. This includes third, fourth, and fifth grade. I’ll start by telling about my appearance in third grade. I had that angel haircut that was really short in the back and gradually became longer at the sides. A lot like the ones you see those rude moms have that always say “Let me speak to the manager” and then never think their kids can do any wrong. Yeah, I had that haircut, I was that girl. This was also the year I had probably the worst teeth anyone had ever seen on a kid. They were so spread out like a bunny and they were staggered around all my mouth. Trust me, getting braces didn’t contribute to my awkward stage. I also had no idea how to smile back then. I either smiled with my mouth closed or if I tried to smile it came off as a sort of snarl look. I always …show more content…
My teeth got a little better because of the braces and my new glasses fit my face a little better than before. I didn’t look like as much of a clown as I did before at least. This is the time when all the little girls wore Justice clothing and wanted to be princesses. Even though I wore the trends in style, I still didn’t pull it off well. My hair grew out to shoulder length which was a blessing and I finally got a little bit of better style. Starting with a pair of Miss Me jeans that surprisingly didn't make my butt look like it sagged down to my little fourth grade knees. I always wanted my ears pierced too, but I never could keep them in before they got infected. My ears were too big for my head back then making me look like dumbo, so I figured the earrings would even it out. This was also the year I grew boobs that made me look like a less boyish version of
