Accountability means taking liability for one’s work or actions. This could mean explaining to others about a performance, quality of the work, or the completion of a job. I am accountable for myself; my actions, words, and responsibilities. I am accountable for my child; how my actions and words influence him, how he is disciplined, and his quality of life. I am also accountable for all the children that come into my work; how my actions and words influence them, how they are disciplined, their quality of life at the daycare, how I communicate with the parents, and keep up with state regulations.
