A while back I was at my friend’s house with my brother. We were just doing normal stuff inside because it had gotten dark. After just hanging out inside for awhile, we decided to go back outside. We ran outside to go jump on the trampoline, joking with each other about the potential of wild animals like cougars hiding out in the bushes.

We had just started jumping for about ten minutes when, suddenly, we heard a rustle in the bushes. We all froze, we had a flashlight, but it barely light up the area on the trampoline, nevermind the bushes which were a few feet away. We shone the light towards the bushes calling

It was about 3:45 in the morning on a Sunday, where I found myself and my excited, wide-awake, good-looking boyfriend driving down a dark, eerie road to a hospital that was 61 miles away. Those 61 miles felt like light years to me I didn’t feel right all day today, I had a feeling deep down that my body was telling me that it was time. I was as nervous as I possibly could be, however, I had to remain completely calm because I could possibly be in labor and our first baby could arrive any time. So There I was, just Sitting there in that fast moving car, patiently waiting for the top of my big-ole belly to become super tight, tighter than a rubber band wrapped around your stomach 1000 times.…

So I went outside to help my grandparents shovel the sidewalk and porch, right in front of us is small pasture for our neighbors, Harmstons, horses to roam. My grandfather started to laugh and told me to look over there and we see a buck and a doe mating inside the pasture while the horses minded their own business. I laughed but I thought it was awkward that the horses didn’t do anything like they usually do. Later that night I was up doing one of your last labs and I heard the coyotes outside.…

Akin to or almost like putting on spectacles, our worldview shapes the way we apperceive and process creation, our cosmos and very existence. Within a worldview paradigm, varying thought patterns color our life experience and put us into a more compartmentalized reality that not only makes sense to us, but those around us (Colorado Christian University, 2014). Sire (2015) said it well when he explained that “worldviews provide the stories through which human beings view reality” (p. 57). Inside the realm of women’s health and abortion, thought components such as theism and postmodernism are often expressed. However, when one takes a position of postmodern naturalism, there cannot be fluidity consistent with a Christian theistic worldview.…

I really care about the whole pro-life/pro-choice debate. I grew up in a Catholic family, went to Catholic grade school, and even attended The March for Life with my eighth grade class. Growing up I was always told that things like birth control and abortion were completely against the church. Of course I believed this. As I transitioned into a public high school and began to learn more I realized that even though I was raised a certain way, I was pro-choice.…
