As I mentioned in the previous assignment, I want to increase my baseline 500 steps each week so that by the end of the semester I am recording 10,000 steps which is in the active range. I will continue walking around the property at work and stepping in place whenever I possibly can. I will stick to walking to the mailbox which is two blocks from home as opposed to driving up to it on my way home. If I have days where I am tired I will just give myself another pep talk. I have a pretty good support system thus far so I will lean on them if pushing myself on my own does not cut it.…

Scientific Mishap One late night in October, Dr. Bryn was closing up her lab and preparing to go hunt for dinner for her and her assistants-- Dr. Bob and Dr. Bobby. She looked out at the sky, it was as foggy as a steam room. They had no internet so she couldn’t check the weather, but she heard soft thunder claps a couple of miles away. She needed to hunt because they ran out of food that day. She grabbed her bow and machete and started walking out.…

Devastated. No word better encompassed my feelings. The first AP Environmental test of the semester had been returned and slowly but surely, the optimistic faces that littered the classroom had dimmed to faces of despair. My eyes frantically roamed the scantron that was loaded with red marks indicative of me selecting one wrong answer after another. It was simply inconceivable to me that the place where a glittering A was supposed to be instead held a vapid 73.…

My parents have said to work hard and do my best in school. I never understood why until I got older. The reason they told me to do my best in school was because they wanted me to think about school and my future. Both of my parents didn't get the chance to go to college. They both came to the United States looking for what most people come to the United States for ‘The American Dream’, they wanted a place where they could raise their children and find a stable job.…

When I entered the room, my sister, sitting at the table finishing her homework, chirped, “Did you like my drawing?” Turning with a carton of milk in hand and pouring myself a glass, I asked, “What?” “The one I put in your room two days ago,” she replied with an incredulous whimper in her voice. “Oh yes,” I replied, “I can’t wait to see it!” I walked into my room and the drawing sat atop my dresser, unnoticed and neglected.…

On 06/01/2018 at approximately 1654 hrs. , I responded to the 100 blk of S Main St in reference to a drunk male without a shirt on harassing people walking while being aggressive. The caller advised the male also cornered two young women of the street and was harassing people in their vehicles. I made contact with the male without a shirt on and identified him as Boyd Douglas Wagner, W/M, DOB 06/23/1975. Wagner had a strong odor of intoxicants coming from his person.…

I remember when I was 5, the first time I went to a building daily for 8 hours. I sat down on the cold blue chair. In front of me was a bin of crayons, all the colors of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and purple. I remember sitting in the cold room and having the freedom to draw marks on my blank sheet of paper. The dye scratching against the table, colors spreading across the canvas like the sun, rising in the early morning.…

I was in 10th grade at the time in my physical science class. I didn't have many friends, all I focused on was my schoolwork and my extracurricular activities. The girl that sat beside me was quite diffident, she never spoke to me unless she had a question about something. I noticed her different ethnicity, hispanic, which interested me. I find it unique to have different ethnicities joining all in one place.…

I completed my ten-hour class observation at the private school Georgia Military Prep. The Georgia Military Prep School is located on Georgia Military College’s main campus in Milledgeville. At GMC prep I observed Ms. Jennifer Spencer's advanced eighth grade math class. Ms. Spencer has a decidedly pleasant air about her, a quick smile, and a brisk step that belies her ‘let us get the job done’ type attitude. On my first day observing her class, I soon gathered that Ms. Spencer always has a goal in mind when she sets foot in the classroom.…
