There was a lot more competition at this new school, what with extracurricular activities, sports, new academic opportunities, and music. The opportunities were plentiful! In 8th grade, push came to shove, and the tip of the ice berg was dislodged and cascaded down upon me. Of course, it just so happened that both of us were running for class president. It was a close race, at the end we even had to vote three times in order to find a proper ratio. After I won the presidential race, Kelly’s bitter feelings swelled to a new high and she disliked me even more. She would say rude things about me, eschew me, and even more, but I never let it affect me. She continued with this brazen behavior and one day I just flat out told her that it was childish and immature, yet this did not faze her. She continued to aggressively go out of her way to make my life miserable.
