"Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty and persistence" I have had many ups and downs over the course of my life thus far. One specific example of this took place during my freshman year of high school. When I started high school it was very challenging for me, partially due to the fact that; during this time, I was lazy, unmotivated and did not really take school seriously. This by far is one of my biggest regrets to this day. Who would ever think that not trying during my freshman year would continue to follow me throughout the course of my academic career.…

On a cold night in January when I was about fourteen years old I was snuggled up on the couch watching TV in my new favorite batman onesie. However, around 9:00 pm my peace got interrupted. I heard my sister scream in panic, “oh my god, Mom!…

Sadness, loneliness and depression are some of the reactions of getting kidnapped. Getting or even about to be kidnapped was never on my mind. My parents always shaded my siblings and I from all these negative events in the world until that one day that I realized, that the negative events in the world could happen to me too. I was a typical 4th grader at Devonshire Elementary school who loved silly bands and playing soccer with my two brothers. My First Time Babysitting It was a dark rainy Friday evening, school just let out for the weekend and I was free except I still had one thing to do left, as I was doing a weird walk jog across the campus while trying not to get soaked just to get to the main building, as my phone started to make this weird ringing noise and obviously I got a bunch of looks. When I looked at my phone I saw that my dad was calling me and when I answered my dad told me not to walk home in the rain and just wait it out. Once I got to the main high school building, I walked through the maze of hallways and lockers, and finally just finally I made it to the front of the building. It was still pouring down rain when I looked out of the window, by this time the storm was almost through…

My first car was something that I greatly was looking forward to getting as a child and my interest in getting one grew, as the days got closer to my sixteenth birthday. The first car I owned was a Automatic Black 2004 Ford f-150 truck, which I discovered on a website called Craigslist. It was priced at five thousand nine hundred dollars with only eighty-four thousand miles on it, which in my case was great considering that I could only afford a seven thousand dollar car. The truck came with all manual locks and windows and also had a small amount of hail damage that could really only be seen at a certain angle. But even with reasonable price on the truck I still attempted to negotiate for an even lower price to further my luck.…

Divorce: A Child’s Point of View At the age of seven years old I had witnessed my mother countless times. I never really understood why at the time, but never did I think it would be because of my father. Some may call it in denial since indeed I did witness the minor disagreements day after day, but others may just call it a child’s state of mind since I obviously was only seven years old. Although it was a decade and so ago and some memories have faded there is one in particular that has always stayed with me.…
