First the book man the book store that we would go to it was by our favorite breakfast spot so that made it all the sweeter to stop by I wouldn't make a beeline for any section I would just wander sometimes I would find the ideal book in the realistic fiction section or in fantasy or I would find missing books from series I love or authors I like after I chose my top 3 it was off to the morning star cafe for breakfast

the line is monstrous as usual but I don't mind plus we made a reservation and then went to the bookman so it only takes 10 minutes to get in then we order “ the benney please with iced tea.” My grandmother says
Then it is finally my turn
“ a blta with root beer and a side of house made chips.” I say dreamily as I think about the food then I look around at all of my favorite things about morning star cafe the art for example, paintings of boats and monkeys, african masks and statues that look interesting, and a wall made of broken plates. after 30 min of waiting and looking our food comes the blta is dripping with the special mayonnaise sauce.

After a satisfying breakfast we were off to Mackinaw kites and toys to

On September 15, I went and took part in el Grito ceremony held at the Miller Outdoor Theater to celebrate the Mexican Independence Day. I did not know what was el Grito, so I went to that event with an open mind. The show came after a long speech in both Spanish and English about the Mexican community in Houston and the impact of Harvey on the community. I really enjoy the sense of community that I experienced during that event. People came as a family or with a group of friends.…

Being a host, server, or bartender at a Chili’s is a very good job to have in high school or college or just as a young adult entering the workforce for the first time because it is never boring. Every customer is different; you will always be entertained by the many walks of life that walk through the restaurant's doors. “Life in the restaurant business can provide a start in the working world for young people or a stable living for many Americans and their families”(Kevin Mccarthy). Chili’s is a great place for students because they work with school schedules and they care about their employee’s education. The managers have a very good understanding that everyone has many different obligations and commitments in their lives outside…

For those who enjoy steak, we know that when going out to a steakhouse, our judgment will be particularly high. Location, service, menu, and of course the food, are all factors that come into play. A restaurant I was once a regular at, was Longhorn Steakhouse in Victor, NY. With a spacious dining area, one can enjoy a nice private dinner with friends and family without the worry of overcrowding and unintentionally having a conversation with the surrounding tables. The log cabin décor adds to the experience by making guests feel as though they are far away from the city while they enjoy their meal.…

Nothing was making me more excited than the idea of trying a new type of wine, this “Amontillado”, that my friend offered me to taste and judge, to have an opinion from my point of view. I think he is not entirely convinced of the quality of his product and wants me to check it out., since he’s aware of my big knowledge in the field. I start feeling a little confused, because of all the liquors and different alcoholic beverages he made me drink during our little journey underground, but I’m sure that we are very close to find the barrel. Here we are! My friend brings me in a little room made with three walls and he starts giving me details about the wonderful wine I’m about to taste.…

My experiences over the last six years living in NYC have shaped me into the approachable and compassionate person I am today. I have been immersed in a melting pot with many different culturally and economically diverse populations. These unique experiences have broadened my horizons and allowed me to gain valuable communication skills and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. I searched out opportunities to give back and help the people in my community both in volunteering in hospitals, educating high school students, and interning in private practices. I even traveled with the organization Medlife, setting up a medical clinic to provide basic medical care and education to people in the poor and underserved communities surrounding Lima, Peru.…

A quick stop to the Five Guys, in Winter Garden Village, during rush hour is interesting but rewarding. The smell of the peanuts and beef hits my nose as soon as I had entered and I crave their food even more. As I enter the restaurant, I am first met with a stack of white bags filled with Idaho potatoes right in front of the door. To get to the cash register I turn to the right to go around the potato sacks to the bright red counter. As I pass the potatoes I see news clippings on the wall of food critics praising their burgers.…
