They do not require large amounts of equipment like the alternative tackle. One of these variations is a game called flag football. This variation is very commonly played in leagues before high school to help kids develop a better understanding of the more traditional tackle football. Players wear flags around their waist and play like normal football, yet instead of a play ending with a normal tackle, it ends with a flag being pulled from the player’s waist.
